I watched the PETA video about dog shows located here.
Now, I totally sympathize with their cause: they want to save the world from cruelty to animals.
Throughout the years, I've been hearing about them doing very radical things to get attention and free publicity for their cause. Like ruining someone's mink coat - effectively making the horrible deaths of all those minks completely pointless.
PETA: we get it. Animals suffer so we can eat meat and wear some fur. I agree that wearing fur does suck, especially since for many types of fur, animals are tortured or boiled alive to get the fur. I think most people are quite aware of these facts, and yet they still eat meat and buy leather jackets. Your shocking perverse way of getting your point across is outdated. BECAUSE WE GET IT.
If you think showing me a cow getting seperated from its mother is going to make me stop eating beef, you are wrong. I am against the senseless torture of animals meant for slaughter, but not against killing animals for a purpose that is to serve our human race. Only stupid people like Pamela Anderson can have their beliefs changed or did not previously understand that eating meat meant killing animals. There's something called a food chain: we're lucky enough to be at the top. If we weren't at the top, do you think an animal would hesitate to eat us because we're living? NO.
